EXPERIENCE THE GREAT OUTDOORS WITHOUT ROUGHING IT

Issue 1 : August 2006

At last!!! Our first newsletter (the one promised 2 months ago) is here to inform you of coming events and expeditions, snippets from the previous month and diary dates. As we start to spend more time away our newsletter will be our way of staying in contact with our valued customers and friends, and a method by which you are able to inquire and book future trips well before they are promoted to the public. In future newsletters, direct links with our website will enable you to source information quickly and accurately, and reduce the length of this front page. Our newsletters will no doubt evolve as time progresses, so lets get started.

What's been happening?

High Country Christmas in July

High Country Christmas in July – What a hoot!! 3 days in the High Country took in great new wine cellars, a western themed Wilderness Lodge, an authentic Scottish Castle (with battlements) exquisite Christmas dinners, Jo’s terrific lunches, great new friends and much bull droppings and frivolity (and bloody awful snooker players). Cold weather and a bit of light rain (???) just made the experience that bit more special. The four wheel drive design of The Explorer meant that we didn’t have to cancel either of the nights due to difficult road conditions caused by rain. Great experience, we continue to learn from the variety of conditions we subject ourselves to.

Opera at the Channon

Once again, a terrific day out. Booked to the hilt 3 months ago, this formal day at the Opera allowed us to pile food, drinks and service onto our great customers (and friends). We can only judge the success of the day by the level of noise coming from the back on the way home!!!

A Special Presentation

Would you believe that we had 2 ladies on the Opera experience that had travelled with us on four previous occasions? (they must have nothing better to do with their spare time!!) We thought this was well worth making a fuss about, so we presented Deb and Linda with the very first Explorer Experience Club shirts. We were quickly reminded that several others in the group were up to their 3rd and 4th trips, so the order is in! Thanks girls, your support in these early days is very much appreciated.
